IPS Custom Equipment — Engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication
IPS now offers Custom Equipment that delivers customized solutions for challenging applications and harsh environments through expert engineering, manufacturing, and fabrication. This includes electrical control panels, power distribution equipment and systems, low/medium-voltage switchgear, enclosures, and ISO container modifications.
Our custom engineering process
IPS engineers start from scratch or develop existing designs. Our project management and communications keep the process moving, from drawings through 3D modeling to prototyping.
We test, review results with you, and then begin manufacturing and fabrication.

Our Custom capabilities and resources
We work in vertically integrated manufacturing facilities — FDEP-approved, ISO 9001:2015 certified, UL-listed, and ETL-listed.
We’re AWS weld-certified and use a fully integrated quality system. Our equipment includes:
- UL 142 fuel tanks through 500 gallons
- In-house steel and copper bus fabrication
- Mechanical and robotic welding
- Structural steel and pipe welding
- Certified welders (AWS & ASTM applicable standards) - Mild Steel, Stainless, Aluminum, SMAW/GMAW/GTAW
- Miller Pipeworx welding systems
- Weld positioners
- Plasma cutting

Custom Equipment manufacturing
IPS bundles equipment with pre-sale engineering inspection, installation supervision, and commissioning.
We also provide inspections and maintenance services.
